Key Responsibilities
The position provides multidisciplinary reliability expertise covering existing facilities, new projects, equipment upgrades and long-term maintenance improvement programs.
* Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis for recurring, critical and high-cost equipment failures.
* Collect operating history, inspection results, maintenance records and condition-monitoring data during failure investigations.
* Apply structured analytical methods to distinguish immediate failure mechanisms from underlying organizational or technical causes.
* Lead multidisciplinary investigation meetings involving operations, maintenance, engineering, inspection and HSE personnel.
* Prepare clear RCFA reports describing evidence, findings, corrective actions and responsible parties.
* Follow up on approved recommendations and verify whether completed actions have prevented failure recurrence.
* Perform Asset Performance Management studies for critical equipment and systems.
* Review asset availability, reliability, maintainability, failure frequency and maintenance expenditure.
* Develop equipment-performance indicators that reveal declining condition or ineffective maintenance practices.
* Use maintenance and operational data to identify bad actors, reliability losses and emerging asset risks.
* Maintain the bad-actor equipment list and issue periodic reports on equipment requiring technical intervention.
