Senior Pipeline Engineer - Oil and Gas Infrastructure Dubai
Role Summary
We are hiring a Senior Pipeline Engineer in Dubai to lead complex pipeline engineering design and project coordination across high-profile energy infrastructure initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and cross-disciplinary teams on challenging assignments in the oil and gas sector. You’ll be responsible for route planning, pipeline system design, material selection, leak detection strategies, and installation oversight in compliance with international standards.

Core Duties
* Design and evaluate pipeline routes, materials, valves, pump stations, and installation techniques
* Develop specifications for coating systems, cathodic protection, and leak detection systems
* Conduct site surveys and interpret geotechnical data for optimized pipeline layout
* Oversee field engineering activities and ensure adherence to project scope and timeline
* Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and CAD designers
* Resolve engineering challenges including conflicting designs and complex coordination
* Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycle
* Conduct stress analysis, hydraulic simulations, and failure mode assessments
* Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates for tendering
* Lead a functional area or segment of a larger engineering project, including resource planning and performance management
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering (required)
* 6–10 years of proven experience in pipeline design and engineering, with at least 4 years as a functional lead
* Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered status preferred
* Expertise in international pipeline codes and standards
* Proficiency in pipeline simulation software and AutoCAD
* Strong communication, project coordination, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to independently handle multiple technical tasks across design phases
* Experience with EPC or consultancy firms in the Middle East is an advantage
