Role Context
The Senior QHSES Assurance Specialist supports the improvement of assurance systems, quality reporting, document control practices, audit performance, and process standardization within a complex energy project environment. The position helps convert management system requirements into clear procedures, templates, work instructions, training material, and measurable performance actions. By resolving quality system issues, supporting functional process experts, and leading root cause analysis, the role contributes to stronger compliance, better operational consistency, improved customer confidence, and more reliable project execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development, establishment, and improvement of management systems used across QHSES assurance activities.
* Partner with Functional Process Subject Matter Experts to drive major quality system initiatives and improve process adoption.
* Work with Quality Directors to identify and resolve complex quality issues that may affect multiple functions or operating areas.
* Maintain quality control system attributes for documents to support accurate and reliable quality reporting.
* Assist process owners with the withdrawal of legacy practices from existing systems and support migration toward updated management methods.
* Administer training for new team members and help users understand quality management expectations.
* Participate in the design, implementation, and enforcement of company document templates for new and revised procedures.
* Advise Functional Process Subject Matter Experts on best practices for document creation, structure, readability, and organization within the management system.
* Report progress against execution plans and provide status updates to management when required.
* Communicate consistently within and across functions, using influence and practical guidance to help teams adopt quality management methods.
* Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit engineering procedures, company procedures, work instructions, and related technical documents.
* Review documents for content continuity, procedural clarity, style consistency, grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
* Suggest practical modifications that make procedures, work instructions, and technical literature easier to understand and apply.
* Manage updates and revisions to technical literature while maintaining traceability and document quality.
* Prepare and review procedures and work instructions aligned with quality assurance and operational requirements.
* Provide quality-related support for project bids when requested.
* Perform internal and external audits according to the monthly audit plan and submit timely audit reports.
* Oversee KPI, QI, and performance quality processes, including trend analysis, benchmarking, lessons learned, and improvement follow-up.
* Analyze measured data and quality trends to support target setting, future planning, action plans, and compliance verification.
* Lead and perform root cause analysis for quality-related issues and support effective corrective and preventive actions.
* Share conceptual and practical QHSES assurance knowledge with less experienced colleagues and project teams.
* Ensure assurance activities are performed within approved company guidelines, policies, and management system requirements.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
* Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience in EPC construction, fabrication, quality assurance, QHSES assurance, or related energy project environments.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems, assurance practices, audits, process documentation, and continuous improvement methods.
* Experience working with engineering procedures, company procedures, technical documents, templates, and work instructions.
* Ability to work effectively as both a team member and a team leader.
* Capable of responding positively to organizational demands in a changing business environment.
* Strong decision-making skills with the ability to address complex quality and assurance issues.
* Excellent analytical and organizational ability for evaluating trends, measured data, quality performance, and process gaps.
* Strong interpersonal skills for working tactfully and effectively with other departments.
* Clear written and spoken communication skills, including presentation capability.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
* Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for different technical and operational audiences.
* Document management experience is an advantage.
* Competence in handling situations where limited standardization may exist.
* Strong understanding of Lean and continuous improvement concepts, principles, and practices.
* ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110, or other globally recognized Quality Management Systems Internal Auditor training is preferred.
