Role Context
The Senior QHSES Assurance Specialist applies established best practices and industry knowledge to improve management systems
and quality-assurance activities. The position serves as a resource for less-experienced colleagues, works closely with functional subject-matter experts, and resolves complex matters affecting projects, operations, customers, and related teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development and establishment of a new management system.
* Partner with functional subject-matter experts to implement major quality-system initiatives.
* Work with Quality Directors to resolve complex issues extending beyond individual functional areas.
* Maintain document quality-control attributes to support accurate system reporting.
* Assist with withdrawing obsolete and legacy practices from existing systems.
* Deliver management-system and document-control training to new team members.
* Help design, implement, and enforce standardized company document templates.
* Advise functional experts on document development and management-system organization.
* Report implementation progress according to the execution plan and management requirements.
* Promote quality-management methods across functions and influence improvements in working practices.
* Plan, develop, write, organize, and edit engineering procedures and company documents.
* Maintain consistency in document structure, terminology, presentation, and style.
* Recommend revisions that make technical information clearer and easier to understand.
* Manage updates and revisions to procedures, work instructions, and technical literature.
* Check documents for sentence structure, grammar, spelling, accuracy, and consistency.
* Prepare and review controlled procedures and work instructions.
* Provide quality-related support for project bids when requested.
* Plan and conduct internal and external audits.
* Issue complete and timely audit findings and reports.
* Oversee KPI, quality-indicator, and performance-quality processes.
* Conduct trend analysis and support benchmarking across operating units.
* Document and communicate lessons learned.
* Analyze performance data to establish targets, plans, and improvement actions.
* Follow up on corrective measures to verify implementation and compliance.
* Lead root-cause analysis for quality-related problems.
* Guide and support colleagues with less quality-assurance experience.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant discipline.
* Minimum 8 years of related experience in EPC construction or fabrication.
* Able to contribute as a team member and provide team leadership when required.
* Strong understanding of quality-management systems and assurance practices.
* Familiarity with Lean and continuous-improvement concepts, principles, and methods.
* Internal Auditor training for ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110, or another recognized quality-management system is preferred.
* Document-management experience is advantageous.
* Able to evaluate trends and make sound decisions using complex operational data.
* Comfortable managing situations where limited standardization exists.
* Able to prepare explanatory and procedural content for different audiences.
* Skilled at translating complex concepts into clear written and visual instructions.
* Responsive to organizational needs in a changing business environment.
