Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate gas asset business matters and recommend practical actions that improve resource utilization, operating efficiency and economic performance.
* Analyze asset performance, expenditure, budgets and strategic priorities, providing management with clear assessments of emerging issues and opportunities.
* Track gas production performance against approved targets and highlight risks that could affect delivery of upstream mandates.
* Maintain regular visibility of asset expenditure, operational progress and optimization initiatives for management review.
* Advise gas asset leadership on operations, production performance and measures required to sustain planned production.
* Review operating plans, production programs, capital budgets and operating expenditure proposals and provide recommendations aligned with organizational objectives.
* Assess annual asset business and financial plans, coordinating multidisciplinary input before management review.
* Support governance of gas asset activities through close coordination with internal functions, operating companies and other stakeholders.
* Examine engineering and operational opportunities that can maximize asset value while supporting reliable delivery of gas production.
* Coordinate and optimize shutdown plans across operating companies, considering downstream requirements and dependencies with other stakeholders.
* Provide advice on non-technical business matters affecting gas operations and production.
* Monitor compliance with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Encourage operational optimization through benchmarking, lessons learned, knowledge sharing and adoption of improved working practices.
* Review business activities and provide structured recommendations that support achievement of upstream performance mandates.
* Contribute operational and business input to legal agreements associated with gas assets.
* Identify opportunities to strengthen business processes, standards, governance frameworks and operating guidelines.
* Develop new analytical approaches and tools that improve operational quality, efficiency and management decision-making.
* Investigate significant budget and performance variances and provide insight for effective cost control.
* Prepare inputs for management information systems, performance dashboards and progress reporting.
* Maintain productive relationships with upstream functions, gas asset leadership, shareholders, legal teams, downstream stakeholders, marketing and trading functions, contractors and consultants.
* Support and mentor UAE junior employees as they progress through structured development programs.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
* Minimum 12 years of relevant experience covering Oil and Gas operations, asset performance and planning support.
* Extensive exposure to performance and portfolio management within upstream Oil and Gas operations.
* Strong understanding of process and mechanical systems and equipment used in Oil and Gas field installations.
* Practical knowledge of project management systems and applicable Oil and Gas technical standards.
* Sound awareness of surface operations, production activities, engineering requirements and operational constraints.
* Ability to interpret financial plans, operating budgets, production information and asset performance indicators.
* Understanding of commercial and contractual terms together with HSE and operational governance requirements.
* Strong leadership capability with effective executive communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
* Professional command of English with strong computer literacy and proficiency in office, analytical and presentation applications.
