Specialist Governance Risk and Assurance – ADNOC Abu Dhabi
Role Summary
ADNOC is seeking an experienced Specialist in Governance, Risk and Assurance to strengthen its internal control framework and risk management capabilities. The role involves designing, implementing, and evolving risk and control processes to support ADNOC’s global operations and ambitious growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform internal controls and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with global governance frameworks and ADNOC policies.
* Conduct assurance testing and identify deficiencies, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Monitor KPIs for control activities and prepare reports for senior management.
* Support development of risk mitigation strategies and transformation initiatives to enhance process efficiency and operational effectiveness.
* Advise on compliance with COSO, COBIT, IFRS, SOX, and corporate governance standards.
* Lead workshops and training to promote a strong risk and governance culture across the organization.
* Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and technology partners to ensure alignment with best practices.
* Contribute to process automation and digital transformation to enhance control and reporting systems.
* Participate in budget planning, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or related field.
* Professional certifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or similar are advantageous.
* Minimum 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a global commodity trading or energy trading environment.
* Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, governance, and compliance standards.
* Proficiency in ETRM systems and knowledge of financial and physical transaction structures.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
