Role Context
The Succession Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring long-term organizational capability by managing leadership pipelines, competency frameworks, and employee mobility programs. The role directly supports business continuity by identifying high-potential talent, strengthening professional development pathways, and aligning workforce planning with ADNOC Group’s talent management and Emiratization strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage corporate succession planning processes for leadership, managerial, and supervisory roles across the organization
* Identify high-potential employees and guide career path planning to support leadership readiness and future business needs
* Establish and maintain structured professional career development practices for technical, professional, and managerial roles
* Ensure effective utilization of succession planning systems and talent management platforms
* Implement ADNOC Group competency management framework across technical and support functions
* Manage and maintain the corporate competency library and oversee the development of site-based competencies
* Support the delivery of competency frameworks for graduate and non-graduate career streams
* Monitor staff development progress through reporting systems and recommend corrective actions where required
* Drive mobility initiatives based on High Potential and Talent Review Committee recommendations
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement employee mobility actions aligned with personal development plans
* Enhance internal mobility opportunities and accelerate integration pathways for young talent and emerging leaders
* Supervise team activities, resources, and operational plans to ensure section objectives are achieved efficiently
* Develop team capability, support personal development plans, and strengthen succession pipelines with emphasis on UAE Nationals and Emiratization goals
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
* Minimum 10 years of comprehensive Talent Management experience
* At least 6 years in a supervisory role focused on succession planning, competency development, or talent management
* Strong knowledge of leadership development, workforce planning, and talent review frameworks
* Experience managing competency libraries and structured professional development systems
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong analytical ability to assess talent and organizational capability gaps
* Experience within the Oil and Energy sector is preferred
* CIPD Level 5 certification is preferred
