Provides support and direction in the management of all Competency Assurance, Training and development activities. Assists in the development and oversight of controls and developments of budget for the Competency Assurance, Training and development of Credan staff. Contributes as a member of the management team in the formulation of a long-term Training strategy and delivery of the company's objectives and the creation of a Competent Local National workforce. Reports to the General Manager on critical and strategic issues particularly those related to Competency Assurance, Training and development functions.
Works alongside key Departmental Managers, assisting in the development and execution of yearly plans. Responsible for the development and execution of Operations and Maintenance Competence Assurance into the Kurdistan Asset.
As a member of the Management Team, responsible for the safety of personnel and integrity of the gas facilities by implementing and complying with the Operations Management System (OMS), Safety Management System (SMS).
Support the development and roll-out of a standardised Competence Assurance Framework. Working closely with the Head of Departments to develop and implement Competency Assurance systems and procedures and identify improvements and training needs.
Promote industry best practices, optimise HSE and technical integrity performance.
Strategy, Policy and Processes Compliance
Responsible for managing the development and implementation of the Khor Mor Competency Assurance and Training strategy, standards, policies and processes in order to fulfill the company's requirements and growth objectives and assurance of a competent Local National workforce.
Accountable for Identifying key areas of strategy.
Responsible for the development of policies, Learning and Development opportunities and overall project management.
Accountable for overseeing compliance to statutory requirements, the company's policies and ensures the effectiveness of the strategy and processes.
Responsible for formulation of policies, procedures for all Competence Assurance, Learning and Development activities within Khor Mor. Implements policies, goals and procedures conferring with the General Manager as necessary.
Responsible for the creation and overseeing of the implementation of Competency Assurance Program in Khor Mor with the aim of enhancing Learning and Development effectiveness and by identifying and recommending corrective solutions.
Responsible for analytical capabilities within department, able to maintain a clear perspective on high level structures and frameworks, whilst at the same time driving the development and roll-out of the detailed elements of an integrated Competency Assurance program.
Responsible for the development of relationships with all parties to ensure full support for company activities.
Responsible for promoting company image and strategy through effective public relations, exhibitions and sponsorship within the Learning and Development Department.
Budget and Financial Control
Responsible for the development of the Learning and Development budget in order to ensure that all budget parameters have been considered.
Responsible for Managing delivery plans to the agreed budget/forecast and timescales to ensure economic service delivery performance across Learning and Development activities.
Responsible for Reviewing financial statements, reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and improvement.
Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Environment
Assist in the development of HSQE policies and procedures to ensure customised policies to facilitate the field operations.
Assist with compliance to relevant health, safety, security, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within Khormor to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
Ensures that the risks are properly assessed, and security plans are in place to assure a safe working environment for all involved staff.
Leadership, Training and Mentoring
Responsible for ensuring the effective achievement of Khor Mor's departmental goals through the leadership of personnel ' setting individual goals, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal ' to maximise subordinate performance.
Supports the continuous learning and development of the Khor Mor team by ensuring that necessary training is provided to them whether by coaching, mentoring or attending training courses.
