Role Context
The Technology Strategy and Governance Manager is responsible for ensuring that technology initiatives deliver measurable value, comply with ADNOC Group standards, and support business transformation goals. The position leads governance frameworks, technology roadmaps, and stakeholder alignment while managing the full lifecycle of strategic technology solutions across operational and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with ADNOC Group standards
* Monitor compliance with technology standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls across the full technology lifecycle
* Define and update the technology vision, strategic objectives, and five-year roadmap aligned with business and ADNOC Group priorities
* Conduct market analysis to identify emerging technologies, technical challenges, and opportunities for innovation in oil and gas operations
* Support the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies, and economic evaluations for technology initiatives
* Oversee implementation of technology projects including readiness assessments, project planning, risk management, and technical documentation
* Provide ongoing support for operational technologies, monitor performance, resolve incidents, and coordinate upgrades and system improvements
* Manage technology transition, retirement, and replacement activities while ensuring compliance and proper knowledge transfer
* Track value realization of technology initiatives using KPIs, ROI analysis, and performance reporting
* Prepare dashboards, governance presentations, and executive reports for leadership teams and management committees
* Facilitate lessons learned and continuous improvement activities to enhance technology processes and delivery standards
* Coordinate with ADNOC HQ, vendors, consultants, and business units to ensure effective delivery and seamless technology lifecycle management
* Support governance reviews and project charters while advising internal stakeholders on best practices and compliance requirements
* Contribute to HSE, sustainability, and integrated risk management initiatives related to technology and operational systems
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
* Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas operations or technology-driven industrial environments
* Strong experience in technology governance, project management, and strategic planning
* Deep understanding of cyber security, plant information historian systems, machine learning applications, and digital transformation programs
* Knowledge of unmanned operations, reservoir technologies, advanced completion technologies, and automated drilling systems
* Experience in technology economic evaluation and investment justification
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across executive leadership and technical teams
* Excellent reporting, governance presentation, and strategic communication skills
* Professional certifications in relevant technical or project management areas are an advantage
