The Vice President - Gas Portfolio will lead the strategic direction, planning discipline, and value optimization of ADNOC Group’s gas portfolio. This executive role connects corporate strategy, gas asset development, market intelligence, resource allocation, infrastructure planning, operational reliability, commercial performance, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability into a unified portfolio direction. The position has direct impact on enterprise planning, executive decision-making, capital prioritization, portfolio resilience, stakeholder confidence, and ADNOC’s leadership position across the regional and global gas value chain.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of ADNOC Group’s gas portfolio strategy to support long-term value creation and corporate priorities.
* Oversee enterprise-wide gas master planning across resource allocation, infrastructure development, asset optimization, portfolio growth, and future supply requirements.
* Align gas portfolio plans with corporate strategy, UAE energy priorities, market dynamics, sustainability objectives, and regulatory expectations.
* Provide senior leadership with strategic insight on gas market trends, commercial risks, policy changes, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies.
* Evaluate gas value chain opportunities and recommend portfolio actions that improve efficiency, reliability, profitability, and long-term resilience.
* Lead integrated planning activities that connect upstream supply, processing capacity, infrastructure needs, market demand, commercial positioning, and operational readiness.
* Monitor gas portfolio performance and implement measures to maximize asset value, operational efficiency, reliability, sustainability, and commercial outcomes.
* Drive strategic partnerships that strengthen ADNOC Group’s position across the gas value chain and support business growth.
* Lead complex strategic initiatives involving business units, corporate functions, partners, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
* Ensure cross-functional alignment during planning, execution, and performance review of gas portfolio initiatives.
* Champion risk management practices to address market uncertainty, regulatory exposure, operational constraints, infrastructure gaps, and sector challenges.

* Support executive decision-making by translating complex portfolio data, market signals, operational realities, and investment options into clear strategic recommendations.
* Guide teams in developing master planning scenarios, strategic roadmaps, portfolio options, risk treatments, and performance improvement plans.
* Ensure strategic initiatives are supported by clear objectives, benefits, governance, accountability, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
* Master’s degree is preferred.
* Minimum 15 years of experience within the energy sector.
* Strong exposure to gas portfolio management, strategic planning, enterprise planning, energy markets, and value chain optimization.
* Proven track record leading large-scale and complex strategic initiatives in a dynamic energy environment.
* Deep understanding of gas markets, gas asset planning, regulatory frameworks, infrastructure development, and industry trends.
* Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate market developments and corporate objectives into practical portfolio actions.
* Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to assess value, risk, investment priorities, operational impact, and long-term business outcomes.
* Strong leadership experience with the ability to guide cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and build high-performance working cultures.
* Experience working with executive leadership, business units, regulators, partners, corporate functions, and external industry stakeholders.
