Role Context
The Well Integrity Engineer is responsible for safeguarding well performance and production continuity by monitoring surface and subsurface integrity across field operations. The position supports safe hydrocarbon production by analyzing integrity threats, planning corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with operational standards, technical barriers, and asset integrity frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and perform well integrity activities for oil producers, water and gas injectors, and observation wells
* Ensure Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) processes are applied, maintained, and monitored through quality assurance and system health checks
* Provide technical support on WIMS requirements and communicate operating and critical envelope limits for all operated wells
* Review and verify QA and QC activities related to well integrity management and production operations
* Monitor well integrity testing reports and track remedial actions to ensure all integrity threats are captured and resolved on time
* Analyze well integrity issues and communicate risk trends, technical findings, and lessons learned to operations teams and management
* Ensure rigless well integrity works are properly managed and integrated into workover and well prognosis programs
* Provide onsite technical support during critical rigless operations, wireline interventions, and field troubleshooting
* Conduct compliance audits for field operational activities including wireline intervention, logging, wellhead testing, and bleed-off surveys
* Identify preventive maintenance requirements and coordinate execution based on WIMS frequencies
* Review cement bond logs, corrosion logs, and barrier envelope conditions to assess casing integrity and production risk
* Evaluate well construction integrity for new and existing wells and risk-rank them for remedial planning
* Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure integrity requirements are met for new developments and modifications
* Intervene when unsafe acts or operational practices are identified and ensure adherence to HSE procedures and company standards
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline
* Strong experience in well integrity management within upstream oil and gas operations
* Knowledge of Well Integrity Management Systems (WIMS), well barriers, and production casing integrity
* Experience in wireline operations, logging interpretation, and well intervention support
* Strong understanding of integrity compliance, preventive maintenance, and well diagnostics
* Familiarity with cement bond logs, corrosion monitoring, and risk ranking methodologies
* Ability to troubleshoot operational and technical integrity issues in field environments
* Strong reporting, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills
