Parsons is looking for a Delay Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing project schedules, identifying delays, and determining their causes and impacts on the project timelines. This role involves working closely with project managers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project reporting and effective schedule management. The Delay Analyst will utilize various analytical tools and methodologies to provide insights and recommendations for mitigating delays and improving project performance.
In this role you will get to provide technical direction for various phases of a significant rail and transit program to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.
What You\'ll Be Doing:
Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethical, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Review and analyze project schedules to identify delays and their root causes.
Perform forensic schedule analysis to determine the impact of delays on project completion dates.
Utilize critical path method (CPM) and other scheduling techniques to assess project timelines.
Prepare detailed delay analysis reports, including narratives and graphical representations.
Communicate findings to project stakeholders, including project managers, planners, and clients.
Provide recommendations for mitigating delays and improving schedule performance.
Collaborate with project controls team (Contractor, Consultant and Client) to ensure accurate and up-to-date project schedules.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on schedule status and potential delays.
Support the planning team in the development of baseline schedules and schedule updates.
Ensure that project schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project objectives.
Assist in the preparation of time impact analyses (TIA) and extension of time (EOT) claims.
Utilize project management software and tools to support data analysis and reporting.
Lead technical excellence on the project.
Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activities, including significant milestones and any conditions that could affect project cost or schedule.
Work with key project staff, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to devise and execute action plans to address potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
Complete other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited institution
Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, planning, or delay analysis within the construction or engineering industry.
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
GCC experience is preferred.
Experience on large Rail Infrastructure program is a must.
Must have experience in Client Interfacing roles.
Knowledge of contract management and claims processes is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
