Key Responsibilities:
Medication Preparation and Dispensing:
Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions.
Compound medications, including elixirs and ointments, using standardized recipes.
Prepare sterile medications, including those used in chemotherapy.
Inventory Management:
Maintain adequate drug supplies by assessing PAR levels and reorder points.
Work with drug wholesalers and pharmaceutical companies to procure medications.
Address drug and supply shortages.
Patient Interaction:
Obtain and verify patient medication histories.
Assist in medication reconciliation processes.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the management of investigational drug studies.
Technology and Automation:
Operate pharmacy automation systems for medication dispensing.
Maintain accurate patient records and medication orders using technology.
Qualifications
Required:

* Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program of NLT 2 years duration resulting in being awarded a diploma in Pharmacy.
