Key Responsibilities:
Ensure safety and environmental protocols are maintained in the workshops, warehouses and office areas of AL TAIF.
Inspect work areas for potential hazards or noncompliance issues and report the findings to the Supervisor, Technician HSE.
Advise employees, supervisors and managers on the proper HSE protocols to be implemented in the workplace.
Train and assist employees and supervisors on how to write a risk assessment, job hazard analysis and assess environmental aspects and impacts for all tasks in the workplace.
Prepare inspection reports and recommendations.
Conduct HSE internal training for AL TAIF employees and relevant contractors.
Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous waste is stored, handled, transported and disposed of in accordance with AL TAIF procedures and UAE regulations.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
Support other members of the HSE team in fulfilling their roles.
Perform other duties as required by the Manager, HSE.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred; in a related field would be an advantage.
A minimum of two years of experience working in a HSE role is required.
Exposure to a technical program related to industrial safety is preferred.
The capability to monitor and analyse HSE trends is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office software and email correspondence is required.
The ability to learn governmental regulations with regard to HSE subjects and then apply this knowledge in order to spot safety and environmental deficiencies in the workplace is required.
An ability to interact with both management and non-management personnel in order to discuss identified deficiencies is required.
The ability to work independently without direct supervision on a day to day basis is required.
A good work ethic is required as this position requires the employee to come to work on time every day.
