Role Context
The position supports transformation across Amazon Logistics, Amazon XL, Same Day and Sub Same Day operations, with future involvement in Amazon Now and Amazon Rush. Its purpose is to ensure that network-wide changes are introduced in a controlled, sustainable and operationally effective manner.
The Senior Change Manager will represent the experience of Delivery Service Partners and Delivery Associates throughout project development. By identifying roadblocks early, coordinating mitigation plans and challenging projects that are not ready for deployment, the role reduces disruption and improves long-term program adoption.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Change Manager will combine strategic planning with detailed execution across projects involving regional and worldwide stakeholders.
* Manage change activity from project intake through deployment and post-implementation review.
* Assess complex business problems, operational dependencies and competing priorities.
* Develop working-backwards plans that clarify outcomes, milestones and responsibilities.
* Ensure operational, customer, legal, compliance and program-support requirements are considered.
* Use data and metrics to recommend priorities and drive measurable improvements.
* Consolidate input from large stakeholder groups into clear decisions and practical actions.
* Advise Project Owners on operational readiness, change impact and adoption requirements.
* Identify risks before they develop into delivery roadblocks.
* Create robust mitigation strategies with Project Owners and operational change managers.
* Recommend delaying or stopping deployments when risks cannot be controlled adequately.
* Provide operational guidance to teams, managers and field personnel.
* Coordinate with legal, finance, pricing and other teams across the AMET region.
* Facilitate programs contributing to director- and vice-president-level objectives.
* Resolve contentious issues by encouraging constructive discussion and building consensus.
* Communicate tailored recommendations to senior leaders, business partners and operational teams.
* Protect the experience of Delivery Service Partners and Delivery Associates during transformation.
Ideal Profile
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in ambiguity, influencing without direct authority and making difficult recommendations when project readiness is uncertain. They should be equally capable of developing a long-term change strategy and resolving detailed operational escalations.
* Bachelor’s degree.
* At least 5 years of program or project management experience.
* Demonstrated experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery.
* Experience using data and performance metrics to guide improvements.
* Ability to communicate program outcomes to senior leadership.
* Strong understanding of operational processes, workflows and dependencies.
* At least 3 years of process-improvement experience is preferred.
* Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
* Relevant postgraduate study may include business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development or instructional design.
