Role Context
The Arabic and Social Studies Teacher - UAE will support student learning by teaching Arabic and UAE Social Studies through engaging lessons, meaningful discussions, and age-appropriate classroom activities. The role helps strengthen student understanding of Arabic language skills, UAE heritage, civic awareness, cultural values, geography, history, and social development while contributing to a positive and inclusive school learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Arabic and UAE Social Studies lessons in line with school curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
* Prepare structured lesson plans that support language development, cultural awareness, and social studies understanding.
* Deliver engaging classroom activities that encourage participation, discussion, reading, writing, and critical thinking.
* Help students understand UAE history, national identity, community values, social responsibility, and cultural heritage.
* Support Arabic language learning through vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing practice, and oral communication.
* Assess student progress through classwork, assignments, projects, observations, tests, and regular feedback.
* Maintain classroom discipline through clear expectations, respectful communication, and organized learning routines.
* Use age-appropriate teaching resources, visual materials, digital tools, and real-life examples to improve lesson impact.
* Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, assessment results, and student academic progress.
* Support students with different learning needs and encourage confidence in Arabic and Social Studies learning.
* Communicate professionally with colleagues, coordinators, school leadership, and parents when required.
* Participate in school activities, cultural events, national celebrations, and student development initiatives.
Ideal Profile
* Applicant must be a UAE National and hold a valid Family Book.
* Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field is preferred.
* Prior experience in a similar Arabic or UAE Social Studies teaching role is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Arabic language instruction and UAE Social Studies curriculum themes.
* Ability to create a positive, respectful, and student-focused classroom environment.
* Good classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Organized approach to lesson planning, student assessment, and academic documentation.
* Passion for teaching, national culture, student development, and inclusive education.
