Position Overview
Aldar Education is seeking a qualified Business Studies and Economics Teacher to join its growing network of schools in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the 2026/27 academic year in August 2026. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ subject knowledge, analytical abilities and understanding of commercial and economic concepts.
The role requires strong curriculum knowledge, differentiated teaching, effective assessment and positive classroom management. Candidates should be committed to educating the whole child and supporting inclusive learning within a multicultural school community.

The Business Studies and Economics Teacher will take responsibility for student learning, progress and assessment. The position also involves curriculum collaboration, family communication, extracurricular participation and contributions to the wider life of the assigned school.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies and Economics lessons.
Ensure lessons meet the requirements of the relevant school curriculum.
Develop students’ understanding of business principles and economic concepts.
Prepare learning activities suitable for pupils across the full ability range.
Differentiate teaching according to individual learning needs.
Organise classroom resources and displays that encourage active learning.
Motivate students through enthusiastic and imaginative instruction.
Take responsibility for the progress and attainment of assigned classes.
Observe and assess students in accordance with school requirements.
Record student development using Target Tracker or other approved systems.
Use assessment data to improve planning, provision and intervention.
Identify learning gaps and implement appropriate academic support.
Reflect on lesson effectiveness and adjust teaching strategies when required.
Provide constructive feedback that helps students improve.
Communicate student progress and wellbeing to parents and carers.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other family meetings.
Develop positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Work collaboratively with teachers to plan effective learning experiences.
Liaise flexibly and professionally with colleagues across the school.
Cooperate with curriculum-support staff to support student development.
Follow the school’s behaviour-management policy consistently.
Manage classes using approaches appropriate to students’ needs.
Inspire, motivate and challenge students to achieve strong outcomes.
Maintain positive relationships while exercising appropriate authority.
Promote student self-control, responsibility and independent learning.
Model the attitudes, values and behaviour expected from pupils.
Participate in curriculum action groups and team initiatives.
Support curriculum planning, assessment, resources and special events.

Attend occasional activities held during evenings or weekends.
Use CPOMS and other school systems appropriately.

Ideal Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Economics or a related subject.
PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience.
Strong knowledge of Business Studies and Economics curricula.
Previous experience teaching students whose first language is not English.
Ability to differentiate instruction for pupils with varied learning needs.
Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
Professional approach with careful consideration for student wellbeing.
Recent and consistent participation in extracurricular activities.
