This position requires a reflective educator who can use student data, curriculum planning, assessment evidence, and targeted support to close learning gaps and stretch high-achieving students. The role also contributes to departmental improvement, enrichment activities, CAS programmes, booster sessions, revision support, and effective use of digital learning resources.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum and school academic expectations.
* Teach advanced computer science concepts that support IGCSE, A Level, and wider digital learning pathways.
* Help students develop programming knowledge, computational thinking, algorithmic reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
* Support students through booster sessions, revision programmes, CAS activities, and subject enrichment opportunities.
* Develop, review, and improve schemes of work to ensure strong curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression.
* Use assessment data to identify underachieving students and create practical action plans for improvement.
* Analyse school and department data to inform teaching strategies, policies, and self-evaluation planning.
* Provide suitable challenge and support for SEN, POD, gifted and talented, and EAL students.
* Maintain high expectations for achievement, classroom conduct, lesson quality, and independent learning.
* Evaluate teaching and learning standards to identify effective practice and areas requiring improvement.
