The Design and Technology Teacher will develop students’ creativity, technical understanding and ability to transform ideas into practical solutions. The position includes curriculum development, project-based learning, assessment and contributions to school enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons.
Ensure teaching aligns with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
Develop students’ design thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
Guide pupils through research, ideation, development and evaluation processes.
Deliver practical projects that encourage creativity and innovation.
Develop students’ ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world challenges.
Prepare structured schemes of work and lesson sequences.
Plan instruction that supports students across the full ability range.
Provide appropriate challenge and support according to individual needs.

Support pupils who speak English as an additional language.

Experience supporting students who speak English as an additional language.
