Position Overview

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding EYFS Teacher to join Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the 2026/27 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inclusive Early Years learning experiences that promote curiosity, creativity and meaningful progress.

The role requires strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the ability to plan for pupils across the full ability range. Candidates should create a nurturing environment while supporting children with English as an additional language and other learning needs.

Role Context

Muna British Academy is an Outstanding ADEK-rated school located in the Saadiyat Lagoons community of Abu Dhabi. The academy moved to a new purpose-built campus in August 2025 and currently serves pupils from FS1 to Year 8 with plans for further secondary expansion.

The EYFS Teacher will take responsibility for the attainment, progress and wellbeing of an assigned class. The position includes continuous-provision planning, assessment through Learning Ladders, family communication and contributions to wider academy activities.

Key Responsibilities

Teach all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Maintain thorough knowledge of current Early Years requirements.
Plan engaging lessons and continuous provision for the full ability range.
Create learning experiences that inspire curiosity and wonder.
Organise classroom resources and displays that support active learning.
Develop a positive and nurturing Early Years environment.
Adapt teaching according to pupils’ individual development needs.
Provide targeted support for children who speak English as an additional language.
Implement interventions for pupils with additional learning needs.
Motivate children through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
Use technology creatively and effectively during lessons.
Record evidence of pupils’ work and learning.
Follow the academy’s marking and feedback requirements.
Take responsibility for the attainment and progress of an assigned EYFS class.
Support pupils in achieving or exceeding expected developmental outcomes.
Assess and record children’s development through Learning Ladders.
Use assessment data to improve planning and interventions.
Reflect on lessons and adjust teaching and continuous provision.
Prepare for and contribute to termly pupil-progress meetings.
Provide parents and carers with regular feedback on student development.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other family meetings.
Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when required.
Embed Muna British Academy’s Teacher and Learner values throughout the curriculum.
Share effective teaching practices with colleagues.
Participate in school professional development and teaching initiatives.
Follow the academy’s behaviour-management policy.
Promote TRACK Values and maintain high expectations for pupils.
Manage behaviour using approaches appropriate to young children.
Build positive relationships with pupils and their families.
Model the attitudes, values and conduct expected from students.
Complete playground and other duties proactively and punctually.
Record safeguarding and behavioural concerns accurately through CPOMS.
Participate in curriculum action groups and team initiatives.
Support school events, outings and community activities.
Attend occasional activities held during evenings or weekends.
Lead one weekly extracurricular activity during each term.
Maintain strong safeguarding and child-protection practices.
Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the academy.

Ideal Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject.
PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
Teaching experience within the English National Curriculum.
Previous Early Years Foundation Stage experience is preferred.
Proven success teaching pupils across a varied ability range.
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
Ability to plan effective continuous provision and targeted interventions.
Strong interpersonal and family-communication skills.
Passion for education and belief in the potential of every child.
Commitment to the academy’s vision and mission.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
Resilient, collaborative and improvement-focused approach.
Commitment to continuing professional development.
Experience in more than one international school is desirable.
