The role extends beyond scheduled lessons by supporting competitions, extracurricular programs, and wider school initiatives that make sport an active part of community life.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver Physical Education lessons aligned with the school\'s British curriculum framework.
* Introduce age-appropriate exercises and sports that develop balance, movement, coordination, stamina, and fundamental techniques.
* Encourage participation from students with different fitness levels, abilities, and levels of sporting confidence.
* Teach the value of teamwork, discipline, fair play, respect, and healthy lifestyle choices.
* Establish clear expectations for conduct and maintain control during indoor and outdoor activities.
* Observe student performance and assess physical development against lesson objectives.
* Provide constructive coaching that recognizes progress and identifies practical areas for improvement.
Every activity must be organized with student safety at its center. The teacher will check playing areas, supervise movement carefully, and respond appropriately to health or welfare concerns.
* Organize and supervise sports competitions, activity programs, and school events when required.
* Maintain PE equipment and ensure resources are stored, inspected, and used correctly.
* Work with colleagues to coordinate sports schedules and student participation.
* Communicate with parents when collaboration can support a student\'s physical or personal development.
* Contribute to extracurricular activities and initiatives that strengthen school engagement.
* Maintain relevant lesson plans, assessment records, and activity documentation.
Ideal Profile
Applicants must hold both a Bachelor\'s degree and a Master\'s degree in Physical Education. All educational certificates must be attested for use in the United Arab Emirates.
A minimum of 2 years of UAE school teaching experience as a Physical Education Teacher is required. The preferred candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management, positive student engagement, and the ability to make physical activity accessible to varied learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. First Aid, coaching, or relevant sports certifications will be an advantage. Female candidates holding a spouse-sponsored UAE visa will receive preference.
