Role Context
The Mathematics Teacher - Primary School role supports high-quality teaching and learning for students joining Aldar Education schools in the 2026-2027 academic year. The teacher will plan and deliver clear, creative, and structured mathematics lessons that inspire students to participate, think independently, and achieve the best possible outcomes.
This position requires a reflective classroom practitioner who can support the full ability range, use Target Tracker and assessment data to guide intervention, communicate effectively with parents, and contribute to the wider school community through curriculum planning, extra-curricular activities, safeguarding practice, and professional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver inspiring Mathematics lessons that support strong student achievement and confidence.
* Teach the England National Curriculum with clear learning objectives and age-appropriate instruction.
* Plan, prepare, and present lessons that meet the needs of the full ability range within the class.
* Organise classroom provision, learning resources, and displays to create an engaging mathematics learning environment.
* Use imaginative teaching methods to motivate students and develop numeracy, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
* Observe, assess, and record student progress in line with school assessment expectations.
* Use Target Tracker and assessment data to inform planning, classroom provision, and student intervention.
* Reflect on lessons, progress, classroom routines, and curriculum delivery to improve learning outcomes.
* Support EAL students and learners with different needs through inclusive and differentiated teaching.
* Work with fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum expectations.
* Cooperate with curriculum support staff and external professionals where required to support child development.
* Communicate clearly with parents and carers about student achievement, progress, and wellbeing.
* Follow the school behaviour policy and manage classes using approaches that inspire, motivate, and challenge learners.
* Promote positive attitudes, self-control, independence, respect, and responsible learning habits.
* Use CPOMS and school systems where appropriate to communicate student wellbeing or safeguarding concerns.
* Participate in curriculum action groups, assessment planning, resource development, and special school events.
* Support school outings, activities, evening events, weekend events, and wider community initiatives when required.
* Run a weekly ECA each term to enrich student learning beyond the classroom.
* Uphold safeguarding, child protection, professional conduct, and all school policy requirements.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education.
* Mandatory post-teaching qualification such as PGCE.
* Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience.
* Mandatory experience teaching the England National Curriculum.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
* Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
* Clear understanding of curriculum delivery, classroom assessment, and student progress support.
* Ability to teach mathematics with patience, creativity, structure, and confidence.
* Approachable, professional, calm, and knowledgeable classroom presence.
* Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with parents in a diverse multicultural environment.
* Ability to deal professionally with students, parents, colleagues, school leaders, and wider stakeholders.
