Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging Physical Education lessons that challenge students and support strong learning outcomes.
* Teach specialist PE content up to GCSE and A Level where required.
* Support exam PE delivery, including Edexcel GCSE and A Level preparation.
* Coach and lead high-level sports teams across school competitions and extra-curricular programmes.
* Teach and develop student skills in volleyball, basketball, athletics, and wider physical education activities.
* Set clear learning objectives and explain how lessons will be taught, assessed, and improved.
* Plan lessons that maintain pace, motivation, challenge, and student interest.
* Use assessment, performance data, and key indicators to guide planning and differentiated learning.
* Identify SEN students, high-ability students, and learners requiring additional support or challenge.
* Maintain an effective PE learning environment aligned with academy procedures and behaviour expectations.
* Encourage punctuality, positive conduct, sportsmanship, high standards of work, and safe participation.
* Assess, mark, monitor, and record student progress systematically.
* Set clear progress targets and prepare informative reports for parents.
