Role Context
The Primary Science Coordinator will provide subject direction while remaining actively involved in classroom teaching. The role ensures that curriculum objectives are converted into purposeful lessons that develop observation, investigation, scientific reasoning, and conceptual understanding.
By coordinating planning and assessment across grade levels, the role will help teachers identify learning gaps and establish a consistent approach to Science education.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate CBSE Science curriculum delivery throughout the primary phase.
* Develop curriculum maps, term plans, assessment schedules, and shared teaching resources.
* Teach engaging Science lessons using explanations, demonstrations, investigations, and practical activities.
* Ensure subject content is sequenced appropriately and completed within planned timelines.
* Guide teachers on methods that strengthen inquiry, experimentation, and student understanding.
* Review lesson plans and recommend suitable instructional strategies.
The coordinator will maintain direct awareness of classroom quality by observing lessons, reviewing student work, and discussing practical teaching challenges with colleagues.
* Analyze assessment results and identify topics requiring additional instruction.
* Coordinate academic interventions for students who need focused support.
* Promote consistent assessment, marking, feedback, and progress reporting.
* Monitor the preparation, safe use, and storage of Science materials and resources.
* Lead subject meetings, collaborative planning, and professional learning sessions.
* Provide academic leaders with updates on curriculum coverage and student achievement.
* Support Science projects, competitions, exhibitions, and enrichment activities.
* Maintain organized curriculum documentation and academic evidence.
Ideal Profile
Applicants must hold a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Science together with a Bachelor of Education qualification. The B.Ed credential is mandatory.
A minimum of 2 years of UAE experience in a comparable Science teaching or coordination role is required. Applications from candidates without UAE experience will not be considered.
