Role Context
The Psychology Teacher - Secondary School will support students in developing a clear understanding of psychological theories, research methods, human behaviour, cognitive development, social influence, mental processes, and real-world applications of Psychology. Key Responsibilities
* Teach Psychology across relevant secondary and senior school levels with strong subject knowledge and clear lesson delivery.
* Plan engaging lessons that help students understand psychological concepts, theories, case studies, research methods, and ethical issues.
* Support students in developing analytical thinking, evidence-based reasoning, academic writing, discussion skills, and examination confidence.
* Use a range of teaching strategies to make Psychology relevant, accessible, and connected to real-life human behaviour and society.
* Prepare students for assessments by developing structured revision plans, targeted feedback, and clear performance improvement strategies.
* Design differentiated learning activities that support varied abilities and encourage high levels of student engagement.
* Share exemplary teaching practices with colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
* Use assessment data, classwork, homework, and student feedback to improve planning and support measurable learning progress.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management, student behaviour, academic focus, and respectful discussion.
* Build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders through professional communication.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental collaboration, moderation, enrichment activities, and wider academic initiatives.

Ideal Profile
* Bachelor of Education major in Psychology is preferred.
* Bachelor\'s degree major in Psychology or equivalent qualification may be considered.
* PGCE with QTS in Psychology is acceptable.
* Proven experience teaching Psychology across all relevant school levels.
* Strong understanding of Psychology curriculum delivery, assessment standards, examination preparation, and student progress tracking.
* Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding learning and teaching in a school environment.
* Creative and enthusiastic approach to classroom teaching and wider school participation.
* Ability to share strong teaching practice and contribute to professional learning within the department.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with colleagues, students, and parents.
* Strong classroom management skills with a supportive, structured, and motivating teaching style.
