The School Bus Nanny - Cleaner will help ensure that students travel safely between home and school while also supporting cleanliness and basic care standards in assigned areas. The position plays an important role in daily school transport operations by assisting students while boarding and leaving the bus, monitoring behavior, maintaining attendance, supporting children with special needs, and helping the driver follow safe transport routines.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome students politely as they board the school bus and help them move to their assigned seats.
* Ensure students enter and leave the bus safely during pickup, drop-off, and school arrival times.
* Assist students with bags, lunchboxes, and personal items, making sure belongings are placed safely in designated areas.
* Help students fasten seatbelts and monitor that they remain properly seated and secured throughout the journey.
* Take and maintain daily bus attendance records accurately.
* Provide extra care and support to students with special needs, ensuring they remain comfortable, safe, and calm during travel.
* Learn and follow individual student requirements related to medical, physical, communication, or emotional needs.
* Monitor student behavior on the bus and report concerns to teachers, parents, or school administration when required.
* Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, drivers, and transport staff regarding student safety and behavior.
* Become familiar with school bus routes to assist the driver during daily transport operations.
* Support health and safety protocols to protect student wellbeing during school transport.
* Assist with cleaning duties when required, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning in assigned areas.
* Help keep the bus and designated school areas clean, safe, and suitable for student use.
* Follow school transport rules, safeguarding expectations, and instructions from the school administration.
Ideal Profile

* Minimum high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
