Position Overview
Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding UAE National Social Worker to join Rabdan Charter School in Abu Dhabi for an immediate start. The role focuses on supporting students’ personal, social, behavioural and academic development through individual counselling, group interventions and preventive wellbeing programmes.
The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, counsellors and school professionals to identify concerns, monitor progress and coordinate appropriate support. Applicants must understand the cultural values of the region and hold the appropriate licence to provide student counselling.

The Social Worker will provide personal, group and career-related counselling while helping students address social, behavioural and family concerns. The role also involves bullying prevention, conflict resolution, parent communication and referrals to appropriate external support services when required.
Key Responsibilities
Support students’ personal, social, behavioural and academic growth.
Monitor individual students’ wellbeing, development and educational progress.
Communicate with parents regarding student behaviour and relevant support needs.
Help students understand and manage social, behavioural and personal difficulties.
Provide preventive and developmental counselling that strengthens students’ life skills.
Identify pupils who may be at risk because of social, behavioural or family circumstances.
Make appropriate referrals for external intervention in consultation with parents and school leaders.
Implement measures to prevent bullying and provide appropriate support to affected students.
Deliver conflict-resolution sessions and other targeted student-support programmes.
Recognise potential domestic abuse or family concerns that could affect student development.
Identify areas where structured group counselling would provide effective support.
Establish and lead counselling groups addressing appropriate academic, social or behavioural needs.
Use classroom, small-group and individual interventions according to student requirements.
Provide culturally sensitive guidance on adolescent social development.
Work individually and collectively with students on appropriate social-development matters.
Coordinate with school counsellors to provide accurate information about career pathways.
Help students explore suitable career options and make informed academic course selections.
Support students in developing job-search skills, including résumé writing and interview preparation.
Maintain an organised career information library or database for student use.
Record interventions and monitor student outcomes in accordance with school procedures.
Build trusted relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Collaborate with parents, counsellors, teachers and external professionals when required.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with safeguarding, counselling and school policies.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Education in Social Work.
Minimum one year of school counselling or other relevant counselling experience.
Appropriate licence authorising the delivery of student counselling services.
UAE National eligible to work in Abu Dhabi.
Strong understanding of student wellbeing, social development and behavioural support.
Awareness of cultural influences affecting the social development of adolescents.
Ability to handle sensitive student and family matters professionally and confidentially.
Strong commitment to helping young people overcome challenges and achieve positive outcomes.
Ability to inspire respect, trust and confidence among students and parents.
