Role Context
The coordinator will shape subjects that connect students with the history, culture, society, values, and national identity of the United Arab Emirates. The position combines curriculum leadership with teacher guidance and student-outcome monitoring.
Effective coordination will help ensure that learning is accurate, relevant, engaging, and consistent with Ministry of Education and KHDA expectations for UAE Social Studies and Moral Education.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of UAE Social Studies and Moral Education.
* Develop curriculum maps, teaching plans, assessment schedules, and shared academic resources.
* Ensure curriculum coverage reflects relevant UAE Ministry of Education and KHDA requirements.
* Support teachers in designing interactive lessons that encourage inquiry, discussion, and active participation.
* Review lesson plans and recommend practical improvements in content delivery.
* Guide teachers on presenting moral, social, cultural, and national themes appropriately.
The coordinator will work directly with teaching teams to establish consistent expectations while allowing lessons to respond to students\' ages, backgrounds, and levels of understanding.
* Monitor student achievement and identify areas requiring academic intervention.
* Review assessment evidence and promote accurate progress reporting.
* Provide guidance and additional academic support when student outcomes fall below expectations.
* Conduct classroom observations and give constructive developmental feedback.
* Organize subject meetings, collaborative planning, and professional learning activities.
* Coordinate with school leaders to strengthen curriculum relevance and teaching quality.
* Maintain documentation required for internal reviews, inspections, and regulatory evidence.
* Support activities that promote tolerance, respect, citizenship, cultural awareness, and community responsibility.
* Communicate effectively in Arabic and English with teachers, leaders, students, and relevant stakeholders.
Ideal Profile
Applicants must hold a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Education, Social Studies, Moral Education, or a related field.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of teaching experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or curriculum-coordination position. Strong knowledge of the UAE Social Studies and Moral Education framework is required.
The role demands excellent spoken and written communication in both Arabic and English. Strong leadership, organization, curriculum judgment, and interpersonal communication are essential.
The preferred candidate will be able to motivate teachers, engage students, and present moral and cultural values in a thoughtful and age-appropriate way.
