Physical Education Responsibilities
The role supports the day-to-day operation of the PE department, helping maintain an effective environment for teaching, learning and sporting activities.
- Support teaching and learning within the PE department.
- Prepare lesson resources and equipment under the direction of the class teacher.
- Maintain PE equipment and stock to ensure resources remain fit for purpose.
- Monitor and organise PE equipment and storage areas.
- Maintain an appropriate PE learning environment.
- Support PE staff in preparing resources for lessons.
- Contribute to the school\'s sports squad provision.
- Liaise with PE leadership to ensure departmental support is directed according to identified needs.
- Undertake other appropriate PE responsibilities assigned by departmental leadership.
PE Administration and Sports Coordination
The successful candidate will assist with routine administrative requirements that contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
- Perform basic administration duties for the PE department.
- Maintain the departmental booking sheet.
- Communicate with external agencies regarding fixtures and sporting events.
- Support departmental displays and learning resources.
- Help coordinate resources required for lessons and activities.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of the school\'s wider sports provision.
School Responsibilities
The Physical Education Teacher will contribute to the school\'s vision, strategic priorities and relevant improvement targets while following established professional standards.
- Comply with health and safety legislation and school safe-working procedures.
- Follow equal opportunity requirements and relevant school policies.
- Participate in the school\'s performance management process.
- Complete annual child protection, safeguarding and health and safety training.
- Participate in other training required for school improvement or professional performance.

- Follow established procedures when leaving and returning to the school site during the working day.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor\'s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or another recognised teacher qualification.

- Previous experience working with students for whom Arabic is not their first language.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check or police check.
