The HR Business Partner - Fulfillment Center plays an important role in connecting people strategy with day-to-day site operations. The position supports leaders working across multiple shifts and a large contractual workforce, helping them manage performance, engagement, employee relations, policy consistency, and workforce risks. By using data, listening channels, HR systems, and strong floor presence, the role helps improve employee experience while supporting operational performance, fairness, compliance, and scalable HR processes within a demanding logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide HR generalist support to fulfillment center leaders, operations teams, and a large associate population working across multiple shifts.
* Partner with site leadership to deliver HR initiatives that improve employee experience, operational performance, engagement, and workforce stability.
* Identify systemic patterns in people issues, address root causes, and recommend practical actions that improve site effectiveness.
* Support fair and consistent application of HR policies while maintaining alignment with policy intent, internal standards, and evolving regulations.
* Use HR data, workforce metrics, and analytics to identify trends, predict challenges, and develop proactive people solutions.
* Convert insights from data, employee feedback, and site observations into initiatives that improve engagement, retention, productivity, and business performance.
* Execute employee engagement strategies, listening mechanisms, recognition programs, and associate experience activities across the site.
* Maintain regular floor presence to understand workforce sentiment, identify early signs of disengagement, and support leaders with timely interventions.
* Coach business leaders on people management practices, including feedback delivery, team development, performance conversations, and complex employee relations matters.
* Manage employee grievances, workplace concerns, and sensitive people issues with sound judgment, confidentiality, and clear documentation.
* Partner with leaders to support equitable talent practices across selection, development, advancement, and internal career decisions.
* Participate in recruitment activities and help ensure hiring support aligns with site needs, workforce planning, and operational priorities.
* Mentor entry-level HR team members, share practical guidance, and help build capability within the site HR team.
* Drive adoption of HR technology solutions, AI tools, and self-service platforms while maintaining personal support during critical employee moments.
* Identify HR process inefficiencies and create simplified, scalable solutions suitable for a predominantly contractual workforce.
* Prepare clear written documentation, updates, reports, and presentations for site leaders and senior stakeholders.
* Work through ambiguity, balance time and resource trade-offs, and make high-judgment decisions that support both people and business outcomes.
* Support cross-functional collaboration with operations, recruitment, safety, workforce staffing, employee relations, and regional HR partners.

Ideal Profile

This role is suitable for an HR professional who is comfortable working close to operations, solving complex employee matters, and influencing leaders in a high-volume logistics environment.

* Minimum 5 years of HR experience within an international, fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
* Experience working with a contingent or contractual workforce.
* Experience using MS Office tools and HR Information Systems.
* Strong HR generalist background across employee relations, engagement, HR operations, workforce support, policy guidance, and stakeholder management.
* Ability to support a large operational workforce across shifts in a fulfillment center, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, transportation, or similar environment.
* Experience supporting 250-500 or more associates is preferred.
* Experience managing or leading employees is preferred.
* Experience in operational logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, transportation, general management, or engineering environments is an advantage.
* Strong understanding of HR processes, HR systems, documentation practices, and operational workforce challenges.
* Experience leading cross-functional workstreams and building strong partnerships with measurable results.
* Experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor and employment law is preferred.
* Ability to coach, mentor, influence, and support colleagues, collaborators, leaders, and stakeholders.
* Experience hiring candidates, mentoring employees, and supporting career development is preferred.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to write clearly, present confidently, and explain HR topics to different levels of the organization.
* Data-driven mindset with the ability to use metrics, trends, and insights to improve employee experience and business outcomes.
* High judgment, confidentiality, ownership, and resilience in a fast-paced onsite fulfillment center environment.
