The Value and Character Specialist - Islamic will support the school’s mission of developing students academically, morally, spiritually, and socially through structured Islamic values education and Quranic learning. The role focuses on designing meaningful programs that promote ethical decision-making, empathy, leadership, respect for Islamic traditions, and responsible citizenship while ensuring students develop strong understanding of Quranic recitation, memorization, and Tajweed principles.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver workshops, activities, and classroom sessions that promote Islamic values, ethical behavior, empathy, leadership, and responsible decision-making.
* Develop character education initiatives rooted in faith, integrity, compassion, respect, and cultural heritage.
* Foster a positive school culture by leading values-based programs that support student wellbeing and moral development.
* Collaborate with teachers to integrate Islamic teachings naturally into classroom learning across different age groups and abilities.
* Support Quranic education by monitoring student progress in recitation, memorization, understanding, and Tajweed rules.
* Assess the effectiveness of values-based programs and recommend improvements for stronger student impact.
* Prepare learning activities that help students connect Islamic teachings with daily behavior, personal responsibility, and community awareness.
* Engage parents and the wider school community in Islamic character-building initiatives and cultural awareness programs.
* Support school events, assemblies, awareness campaigns, Quran-related activities, and student leadership initiatives.
* Maintain records of program participation, student progress, assessment feedback, and improvement actions.
* Work with school leadership and academic teams to align character education programs with the wider curriculum.
* Encourage students to develop confidence, discipline, kindness, respect, and a strong sense of responsibility as global citizens.
* Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and respectful learning practices in all student-facing activities.
Ideal Profile
* Master’s degree in Islamic Education or a related field is required.
* Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Dubai is required.
* Strong knowledge of Islamic values, Quranic education, Tajweed, moral education, and student character development.
* Experience designing workshops, student activities, values programs, or Islamic education initiatives.
* Ability to work with students across different age groups and learning abilities.
