Job Overview
As an ARA Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients on complex accounting and reporting issues, including acquisitions, financial instruments, business combinations, and IFRS compliance. This role involves proposal development, team leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional Deloitte service lines to deliver advisory services that align with market trends and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, prepare, and contribute to proposals for new clients and advisory projects
* Deliver technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and IFRS issues
* Lead projects including financial statement preparation, accounting policy reviews, and IFRS impact assessments
* Advise clients on accounting implications of mergers, acquisitions, debt/equity instruments, and divestitures
* Liaise with clients, auditors, legal advisors, and Deloitte teams to resolve technical matters and complete audits
* Collaborate with Tax, Financial Advisory, and Consulting teams on multi-disciplinary projects
* Strengthen client relationships and manage deliverables, timelines, and engagement quality
* Supervise and mentor staff at all levels, conduct performance reviews, and support team development
* Participate in firm initiatives such as training, service innovation, and thought leadership
Job Requirements
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Certifications:
* CPA, CA, or ACCA certification is required
Experience:
* Minimum 8 years of experience in public accounting or technical advisory roles
* At least 4 years of experience in team management and client engagement leadership
* Extensive knowledge of IFRS and experience in advising on technical accounting matters
Skills:
* Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and transaction advisory skills
* Experience with financial close processes and internal financial controls
* Excellent communication, client presentation, and documentation capabilities
* Strong project and time management skills across multiple engagements
* Ability to synthesize complex accounting issues and provide actionable recommendations
* Proficient in proposal development, client relationship management, and business growth initiatives
* Leadership capabilities with proven mentoring, coaching, and performance management experience
* Comfortable working in a virtual or hybrid environment and flexible to travel up to 50%
