Job Overview

As a Tax Intern in Deloitte’s Business Tax team, you will gain valuable experience by working alongside seasoned tax professionals on local and cross-border tax engagements. Your role will focus on assisting with corporate tax compliance, research, documentation, and client deliverables. The internship also offers training and mentorship to prepare you for a future career in tax advisory.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in preparing corporate tax returns, tax computations, reconciliations, and documentation
* Support the analysis of financial statements to identify tax implications
* Conduct research on Qatar income tax laws and relevant international tax treaties
* Prepare draft reports, audit responses, and client communications under guidance of senior staff
* Collaborate on presentations, internal memos, and client-facing deliverables
* Ensure accurate maintenance of tax records in line with firm policies and regulatory requirements
* Participate in client meetings and internal knowledge sessions
* Track local and regional tax regulation updates and assess their impact on clients

Job Requirements

Education:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field (in progress or recently completed)

Experience:

* No prior work experience required; relevant coursework or academic exposure to tax and finance preferred

Skills:

* Good understanding of accounting concepts and basic taxation principles
* Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus
* Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a professional environment
