Position Overview
Azizi Developments is looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer with a strong background in sourcing civil construction materials for large-scale real estate development projects. This role requires deep technical knowledge of structural and finishing materials, strong vendor management skills, and the ability to align procurement activities with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end procurement of civil materials, ensuring compliance with approved project specifications and quality standards.
* Source structural and finishing materials such as concrete, rebar, blocks, waterproofing, insulation, and façade systems.
* Prequalify, negotiate, and onboard local and international suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
* Review and interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals to validate material compliance before purchase.
* Liaise with design, quantity surveying, and site teams to synchronize procurement schedules with project milestones.
* Prepare RFQs, technical and commercial comparison sheets, and purchase orders, maintaining accurate procurement logs.
* Ensure ERP system updates and accurate procurement records for all transactions.
* Coordinate with consultants, project managers, and client representatives to meet procurement targets while staying within budget.
* Apply value engineering principles to identify cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in civil materials procurement within real estate development or engineering consultancy sectors.
* Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and sourcing practices.
* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
* Proven negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Familiarity with local and international suppliers and procurement regulations.
