Job Overview
As part of our growing onsite supervision and engineering team, the Aluminium and Glazing Jr. Designer will translate architectural intent into fully detailed, constructible shop drawings. You will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure designs meet both aesthetic and performance expectations, with accurate documentation and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop detailed shop drawings for aluminium and glazing systems, including curtain walls, doors, windows, skylights, and cladding
* Prepare fabrication drawings, cutting lists, and quantity take-offs
* Interpret architectural and structural drawings for glazing layout and technical detailing
* Coordinate with structural and façade engineers to ensure constructibility and code compliance
* Integrate system specifications from suppliers like Schüco, Reynaers, and Technal
* Update drawings as per feedback from consultants, site teams, or RFIs
* Assist in preparing technical submissions, RFIs, and tender packages
* Ensure accurate clash-free output using AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM/CAD tools
* Contribute to design libraries and maintain drawing standards
Job Requirements
* Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
* 3–6 years of UAE or regional experience in aluminium/glazing system design
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and 2D/3D modeling software
* Solid understanding of façade systems, aluminium profiles, and glass specifications
* Familiar with fabrication/installation methods and standard detail development
* Excellent drafting accuracy and coordination skills
