What Does a Design Manager Do in Luxury Real Estate?
As a Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in directing the design process across multiple luxury residential projects. From managing design teams and external consultants to ensuring authority compliance and aligning creative visions with business objectives, this role is central to Azizi’s design-driven growth strategy.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead and manage internal and external design teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes
- Implement design delivery strategies aligned with Azizi’s vision and industry best practices
- Present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
- Oversee QA/QC processes and manage submissions for authority approvals
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams
- Prepare RFPs, risk mitigation plans, and design briefs for various project stages
- Ensure timely delivery of technical packages, presentations, and marketing kits
- Review and approve architectural design outputs, ensuring design intent is preserved
- Stay updated on latest trends in architecture, interior design, and urban development
What Skills Are Needed for a Design Manager in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Dubai-based real estate or PMC firms
- Demonstrated experience working with Dubai authorities on high-end residential or mixed-use projects
- Proven leadership in handling design delivery for high-rise, luxury, and hospitality developments
Skills:
- Strong command of Revit BIM workflows is mandatory
- Excellent project planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication abilities
- Ability to lead diverse design teams and ensure timely delivery of complex projects
- Familiarity with authority regulations, submission protocols, and UAE construction standards
- Strong visual and technical understanding of architectural detailing and documentation
