What You’ll Do
* Define comprehensive design briefs for retail mall and shopping center projects, incorporating project context, objectives, and technical criteria
* Guide projects through all design stages, from concept to tender documentation, and advise throughout construction
* Manage consultant performance, ensuring timely deliverables, quality, and alignment with business goals
* Conduct technical reviews on design performance, engineering coordination, statutory compliance, and user experience
* Prepare and present design deliverables and executive presentations for approvals
* Assess and recommend actions on design changes, securing statutory approvals as needed
* Advise on development briefs, budgets, cost benchmarks, and return on investment calculations
* Lead research into innovative city and product design trends, including smart technologies, mobility, sustainability, and amenities
* Oversee project schedules, milestones, and roadmaps while preparing executive-level reporting
* Support marketing teams with collateral for project launches and presentations
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Urban Design
* 15+ years of experience in design and management roles, preferably with leading developers or consultancies
* Proven expertise in managing retail mall and shopping center projects; hospitality project experience is an advantage
* Strong knowledge of technical building requirements including structural, MEP, civil works, and statutory authority processes
* Ability to lead cross-disciplinary design teams, consultants, and stakeholders effectively
* Skilled in preparing clear, compelling executive presentations
* Versatility across architecture, interior design, and graphics is highly valued
* Supplementary training in business or real estate is a plus
