What Does a Global Procurement Engineer – Civil Finishes Do in Dubai?
This position focuses on managing the procurement of civil finishes for high-rise residential and hospitality projects. You will lead international sourcing efforts, evaluate suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials aligned with project requirements and budget targets.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead procurement of civil finishes materials, equipment, and systems by collaborating with global suppliers
- Assess and select overseas vendors based on delivery capacity, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Support tendering, price negotiation, and contract finalization for high-value purchases
- Liaise with architects, interior designers, and project teams to align material specifications
- Monitor supply chain logistics, lead times, and stock levels to avoid delays or bottlenecks
- Ensure materials meet technical standards, safety requirements, and aesthetic expectations
- Coordinate quality assurance checks, site deliveries, and compliance inspections
- Maintain procurement documentation and reporting for audit and financial purposes
- Contribute to cost-saving strategies through alternative sourcing and bulk buying opportunities
What Skills Are Needed for a Procurement Engineer in Dubai?
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in procurement, with proven expertise in civil finishes and international sourcing
- Background in real estate or hotel construction projects preferred
Core Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of interior and exterior finishes for residential and hospitality developments
