Position Overview
The Head of Interior Design is responsible for leading the creative direction, design development, and execution of interior design projects across Al-Futtaim Real Estate’s diverse portfolio, including residential, retail, commercial, and hospitality assets. The role ensures that all projects reflect the company’s design excellence, functionality, and sustainability goals while enhancing overall user experience and maintaining brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all interior design activities from concept through final delivery for multiple projects across various sectors.
* Develop and implement Al-Futtaim Real Estate’s interior design standards, guidelines, and technical specifications for FF&E and OS&E.
* Oversee the selection, coordination, and performance of design consultants and ensure compliance with company vision and design objectives.
* Direct the design review process, ensuring consistency, cost efficiency, and alignment with quality and sustainability benchmarks.
* Manage and approve design documentation, drawings, and material submittals throughout all project phases.
* Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify design execution aligns with approved plans and brand standards.
* Stay current with market trends, new materials, and design innovations to ensure projects remain cutting-edge and commercially viable.
* Define design scopes, manage budgets, and contribute to contract creation and cost control.
* Lead and mentor internal design teams, promoting collaboration, creativity, and performance excellence.
* Represent Al-Futtaim Real Estate in meetings with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to evaluate and approve design proposals.
* Monitor departmental KPIs and continuously improve design processes and project delivery.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
* Minimum 20 years of proven experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio across hospitality, retail, and residential projects.
* Experience working in a client-side role or with leading international design consultancies.
* Deep knowledge of materials, finishes, FF&E specifications, and space planning.
* Strong understanding of project management, procurement processes, and cost control principles.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
