Job Overview
As the HSE Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring site activities to ensure full compliance with health and safety standards. You will conduct inspections, enforce the correct use of PPE, investigate incidents, and lead safety training sessions. This role plays a key part in reducing risks, enhancing awareness, and promoting a safety-first culture across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and enforce adherence to all HSE regulations and company safety policies
* Conduct site safety audits, risk assessments, and issue corrective action plans
* Investigate and report on all accidents, incidents, and near-misses
* Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for workers and site staff
* Ensure proper documentation of safety logs, records, and incident reports
* Organize emergency response drills and maintain emergency preparedness
* Verify availability and correct use of PPE and other safety equipment
* Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to implement safety measures
* Stay updated on UAE HSE regulations and ensure the site’s legal compliance
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field
* NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification preferred
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a safety role within construction or real estate industry
* Strong understanding of UAE labor laws and HSE legislation
