What Does an HR Business Partner Do in Construction?
As an HRBP at Azizi, you will serve as the strategic link between the business and HR. You’ll manage end-to-end talent and performance processes while fostering a productive and engaged workforce across contracting, construction sites, and factory settings. Your knowledge of blue-collar workforce dynamics in the Gulf will be key to ensuring compliance, retention, and performance.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Partner with business unit heads to develop and execute tailored HR strategies that support construction and contracting operations
- Manage talent planning, recruitment, and retention initiatives for blue-collar and site-based teams
- Support day-to-day employee relations, grievance resolution, and conflict management
- Lead the performance management cycle including KPIs, appraisals, and employee development plans
- Collaborate with team leads on training programs and upskilling for field and factory staff
- Drive employee engagement and morale by implementing effective communication and feedback mechanisms
- Ensure full compliance with UAE labor laws and internal HR policies
- Use HR metrics and analytics to assess workforce productivity, attrition, and satisfaction
- Act as the go-to advisor for senior management on HR matters
What Qualifications Are Required?
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- 4+ years of HRBP or HR Generalist experience in the construction, contracting, factory, or blue-collar sectors in the UAE or GCC
- Strong understanding of UAE labor regulations and blue-collar workforce compliance
Core Competencies:
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive HR decisions aligned with business goals
- Expertise in workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple HR initiatives across departments
- Familiarity with HR software and HRIS platforms
