Job Overview
As an Interior Design Manager, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of interior design from concept to execution. This includes collaborating with architects, engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure high-quality and aesthetically appealing interiors that align with project specifications and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
**Design Development**
- Lead the preparation and review of interior design concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to integrate interior design seamlessly into the overall project.
- Develop space planning, material specifications, and finish schedules tailored to project requirements.
**Technical Coordination**
- Review and approve interior design shop drawings and material submittals.
- Provide technical solutions to resolve design challenges during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to interior works.
**Project Management**
- Monitor progress and quality of interior works at different project stages.
- Manage timelines and budgets related to interior design deliverables.
- Liaise with procurement teams to source materials and finishes, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
**Client Interaction**
- Engage with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and preferences for interior spaces.
- Present design proposals and manage client feedback effectively.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering interior spaces that meet or exceed expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in interior design, preferably in real estate or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of interior finishes, materials, and furniture selection.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
- Experience managing multiple projects from design to execution.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes and interior design regulations.
