Lead Technical Architect - Residential
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Lead Technical Architect to join our team at Azizi, working from our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai. In this role, you will oversee the technical development of architectural projects, ensuring compliance with local authority submission requirements and aligning designs with project goals. You will manage technical documentation, resolve design challenges, and coordinate with all parties to deliver high-quality, constructible designs. This role is crucial in maintaining design integrity while ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical development of architectural projects across all design stages, ensuring compliance with local authority submission requirements and alignment with project objectives.
- Review and approve detailed design drawings, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and constructability.
- Coordinate technical aspects with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve design and construction challenges effectively.
- Ensure all technical documentation adheres to local authority codes, standards, and international best practices.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of major international codes and standards (e.g., IBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, LEED) to ensure global compliance where applicable.
- Collaborate with Design Managers, Architects, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated project development.
- Manage and mentor technical design teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee authority submissions, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and other relevant local authorities.
- Safeguard the design intent, ensuring the final technical output aligns with the original creative vision.
- Conduct regular reviews to maintain design quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in architectural design and technical coordination, working with reputed PMCs in the Middle East.
- Extensive experience with high-end luxury hotel and hospitality projects in the UAE.
- Certification in BIM workflows preferred, with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Dubai Municipality Registration preferred.
- Strong understanding of international codes and standards, including IBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and LEED.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities, with the ability to manage and mentor technical design teams.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for effective stakeholder management.
