Lead Technical Architect
Job Overview:
Azizi Developments is seeking an experienced Lead Technical Architect to join our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical development of architectural projects, ensuring compliance with design standards, local authority requirements, and constructability. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, resolving design challenges, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation throughout all design stages.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical development of projects across all design stages, ensuring compliance with authority submission requirements.
- Review, coordinate, and verify all project design drawings across multiple disciplines, resolving any issues within the set timeframe.
- Ensure all detailed drawings are accurate and compliant with design standards, authority requirements, and project documents (Specs & BoQ).
- Manage technical inquiries (RFI) throughout the project lifecycle, from design to handover.
- Coordinate technical aspects with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve design and construction challenges effectively.
- Conduct reviews of BIM models, identifying and resolving clashes between design disciplines.
- Provide guidance on construction details, building materials, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Mentor and manage a team of 12 reviewers, maintaining high standards of design quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Design team to integrate technical solutions and support design innovation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Technical Architecture, with a focus on high-end residential and mixed-use development projects in the UAE.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Management, and BIM 360.
- Strong knowledge of construction details, building materials, and international codes (e.g., IBC, NFPA, ASHRAE).
- Excellent coordination and project management skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to review complex technical drawings.
- Ability to resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to design challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Dubai Municipality Registration and Certification in BIM workflows preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage team members and collaborate with stakeholders.
