Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Overview:
Azizi Developments is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our expanding Design 360 Studio in Dubai. This role is instrumental in conceptualizing and designing complex MEP systems for high-end luxury residential and hospitality projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on expertise in mechanical system design, and a deep understanding of authority regulations in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems including air conditioning, ventilation, and smoke control for luxury residential and hospitality projects
- Prepare concept design documents and construction documents for mechanical systems
- Perform accurate building cooling load calculations using Authority Approved software
- Coordinate with submittal engineers to ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements, including DEWA and Trakhees
- Maintain records of all mechanical design documents submitted for approvals
- Engage with mechanical equipment suppliers to ensure selected equipment aligns with mechanical design requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and structural engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and sustainability standards in mechanical system design
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design within the Middle East, preferably with reputed project management consultancies (PMCs)
- Proven experience in high-rise, luxury residential, hospitality, or mixed-use developments in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE authority regulations, including DEWA, Trakhees, and other relevant entities
- Proficiency in mechanical design software for load calculations and system modeling
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
