Job Overview
As a Plant Engineer for tower cranes, you will lead the technical planning and risk assessment associated with crane operations across Azizi projects. Your focus will be on site surveys, lifting strategies, safety compliance, and engineering analysis to ensure the effective and secure operation of tower cranes in alignment with construction timelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct site surveys to determine optimal crane positioning considering access, safety, and structural impact
* Develop lifting plans including load charts, rigging methods, and crane operation logistics
* Prepare method statements and risk assessments (MSRA) for all tower crane activities
* Coordinate with structural engineers to design and validate crane foundations and tie-in systems
* Review and prepare technical documentation including shop drawings, submittals, and installation manuals
* Ensure compliance with safety codes, local regulations, and engineering best practices
* Liaise with project teams and crane operators to manage setup, movement, and decommissioning phases
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
* Minimum 5–7 years of experience in tower crane planning and operations in the construction industry
* Strong knowledge of crane load calculations, rigging, and lifting safety protocols
* Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and crane-related shop drawings
* Familiarity with relevant software tools and safety standards
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to coordinate across disciplines
