Job Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting project execution by handling RFIs, submittals, site coordination, and cost-related documentation. Your technical knowledge in mechanical or industrial engineering combined with construction site experience will be instrumental in maintaining smooth operations across multiple project phases.
Key Responsibilities
* Support on-site construction teams to ensure project progress aligns with the planned schedule
* Manage RFIs and submittals, ensuring accurate and timely communication between teams and consultants
* Assist in tracking job cost accounting and resolving project-related financial issues
* Monitor contractor performance, quality control, and adherence to health and safety standards
* Process owner billings and prepare required project documentation
* Support project scheduling and timeline adherence by maintaining progress reports and coordinating updates
* Ensure compliance with performance standards, construction codes, and internal QA/QC procedures
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
* 5 to 7 years of experience in construction project coordination or engineering roles
* Strong command of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
* Familiarity with industry regulations, project documentation protocols, and engineering standards
* Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
* Ability to manage field activities while coordinating with consultants and contractors
