Job Overview
As a QS Auditor, your responsibility is to safeguard financial integrity across all project contracts by performing rigorous audits on payments, claims, variations, and final settlements. You will work closely with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract terms, detect discrepancies, and support cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Audit contractor, subcontractor, supplier, and design consultant progress payments in line with contractual terms
* Review variation orders for scope validity, approvals, technical relevance, and cost/time implications
* Examine contractor/subcontractor settlement agreements for compliance, legal coverage, and approved payment terms
* Validate final payments and retention releases
* Audit project preliminary budgets and cost allocations for accuracy, savings, and risk management
* Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized financial activities
* Monitor potential cost overruns, delays, or claims, and suggest mitigation plans
* Review and interpret contracts, highlighting deviations and financial exposure
* Coordinate findings and recommendations with stakeholders promptly
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
* Minimum 10 years of experience in auditing, cost control, or quantity surveying within construction
* Background in both contracting and consulting firms is mandatory
* Strong knowledge of GCC construction practices and contract standards
* UAE driving license required and willingness to travel within the UAE
* Proficiency in contract review, claims analysis, and budget audits
* Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
