The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for real estate activities in Dubai, UAE. This role involves overseeing tenant accounts, handling property-related income and expenses, preparing VAT and corporate tax filings, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The position supports Saeed Juma Al Naboodah Real Estate Co. LLC in maintaining accurate financial records and providing insights for real estate management.

Experience: 5-7 years in accounting, with at least 3 years in real estate accounting
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate matching of income and expenses
- Manage accounts payable, including supplier invoices, utility payments, and operational costs
- Handle accounts receivable, ensuring timely tenant rent payments, refunds, and collections
- Oversee real estate income and expense tracking, ensuring proper allocation of payments
- Assist in preparing VAT returns and corporate tax filings in compliance with UAE regulations
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and MIS reports for real estate operations
- Analyze financial data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities
- Utilize ERP systems such as Oracle for accurate financial data entry and reconciliation
- Manage tenant accounts, addressing billing issues and ensuring payment compliance
- Handle financial disbursements, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Assist in budgeting processes, preparing financial forecasts and operational schedules
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of financial data in accordance with company policies
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as required by management
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial regulations in real estate accounting
- Proficiency in property management software and accounting systems such as Oracle or SAP
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large financial data sets
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting abilities
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
