What Does a Senior Electrical Design Engineer Do?
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead the design of complete electrical systems for residential and hospitality projects, from concept to construction documentation. You’ll also coordinate closely with technical and CAD/BIM teams, ensuring full compliance with Dubai authority standards.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Design end-to-end electrical systems including lighting, power, CCTV, access control, central battery systems, emergency exits, and fire safety systems
- Conduct building load calculations using approved software
- Supervise and guide CAD and BIM specialists to ensure alignment with Azizi standards
- Ensure technical submissions comply with authority requirements (DEWA, Trakhees, etc.)
- Maintain documentation of all submitted and approved electrical drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into architectural plans
- Participate in design reviews, site coordination, and technical meetings
What Skills Are Needed for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of electrical design experience in the UAE or GCC
- Proven track record working with reputed project management consultancies (PMCs)

Skills:
- Deep understanding of DEWA, Trakhees, and other Dubai authority guidelines
